Tempe Center For The Arts

I love to photograph buildings with interesting architecture. This is the Tempe Center Of The Arts in Tempe, Arizona. There are a lot of cool things around there and the time of day can really influence how it all looks. I am smitten with the light poles in the parking lot; that is what caught my eye.

Bird at Water's Edge

This was a pleasant scene on a 114 degree day and I am certain that bird was cooler than I was. What first caught my eye were the rounded river rocks that look like large eggs corralled by the cement edge with symmetrical lines. Then as luck would have it a visitor arrived.

So was this bird getting a drink of water or just checking out his reflection?

Color or Black and White

My roots are in black and white photography but with a digital cameras everything is shot in color. I do have a vision before I make an image but it is so tempting to work in both color and black and white. Ultimately, I end up struggling trying to decide which image is better. It has become a terrible distraction and a significant waste of disk space.

All kidding aside, which image do you like better?
